Pierce Pettis and Tom Prasada-Rao

The Cary Theater 122 East Chatham Street, Cary, NC, United States

After a lifetime of crafting finely-wrought, heart-touching songs, singer-songwriter Pierce Pettis feels that he’s finally found his comfort zone. “The biggest change,” he says of this point in his career “has been getting over myself and realizing this is a job and a craft. And the purpose is not fame and fortune (whatever that is) but simply doing good work.”

Tom Prasada-Rao is a musician's musician - an unassuming presence on the folk scene since the early nineties. His voice belies his musicianship and his extraordinary songs. From Rishi’s Garden with it’s homage to Ravi Shankar to the groove of Sleeping Beauty, Tom’s music is melodic, ambitious, and reverent. He's starting to tour again after being featured last year on the nationally syndicated TV show Troubadour Texas

The Taters with Russ Varnell & His Too Country Band

The Cary Theater 122 East Chatham Street, Cary, NC, United States

When Craig Evans and Brad Tucker started singing together in the early 1980′s, neither could have guessed how long that partnership would last. With 7 CDs of music out – the most recent a Halloween project titled “DON’T SCREAM!” (Oct 2015), they continue to mine their collective experience to craft songs with unforgettable hooks and pop melodies, and to add classic tunes to their repertoire that reflect a wide range of interests and influences.

Russ Varnell was born and raised all his life in Black Creek NC. Russ says " My parents raised me up listening to 100% hardcore traditional country music." Russ says he grew up watching "HEE HAW", "Porter Wagoner Show" on TV and listening to the Grand Ole Opry on the radio with his parents whenever they could get it to come in clear enough on their old home clock radio.
