Six String Presents Show at The Cary Theater – Oct 13, 2017

Hello Live Music Fans:

On October 13 we will be hosting 3 top performing singer-songwriters who normally bring in huge crowds at their solo shows while touring around the world. This time though, all 3 performers will be on stage together swapping songs, harmonizing, telling stories and having a good time. Beth Wood, Chris Rosser and David Lamotte will be performing live at The Cary Theater starting at 8pm. You won’t want to miss this show! Tickets and info at www.SixStringPresents.com

David LaMotte – davidlamotte.com
“Charm, stories, humor, insightful songs, sweet voice, and dazzling guitar ability.” ~ BBC Radio Belfast

David LaMotte is an award-winning songwriter, speaker and writer. He has performed over 3000 concerts and released 12 full-length CDs of primarily original music, touring in all fifty states, as well as five of the seven continents. The Boston Globe writes that his music “pushes the envelope with challenging lyrics and unusual tunings, but he also pays homage to folk tradition”.

Touring full-time for over 25 years, LaMotte has developed a large and loyal following around the world. His music has been honored with numerous awards and artist grants, and has been featured on dozens of artist compilations. Notably, his song “Dark and Deep” was included on Songs Inspired by Literature, Chapter One, a benefit CD to raise money for adult literacy. Other artists on that CD include Suzanne Vega, Aimee Mann and Bruce Springsteen. Several independent films feature David’s music, and it has been heard on the Today Show and the Showtime television series This American Life.

Beth Wood – bethwoodmusic.com
Beth Wood is a modern-day troubadour and believer in the power of song. Her exceptional musicianship, crafty songwriting and commanding stage presence have been winning over American audiences for 18 years. Beth’s music is a soulful, organic, intelligent, barefoot, high energy communication of joy. Picture a homebody with an ever-present wanderlust, an introvert with a passion for performing, a creative free-spirit with enough discipline to rework her dream year after year, calloused little hands and a big pile of curly hair…and you’ve got Beth Wood. Beth lives in Portland, OR, and is loving the northwest life. Beth has immersed herself in the northwest music community, including working on staff with the Sisters Folk Festival and Americana Song Academy for six years as an instructor and host of the Sunday Community Celebration. Beth’s work has expanded to include teaching voice and song coaching as well as leading
workshops at festivals, retreats and beyond.

“…when you come across a recording like Beth Wood’s “The Weather Inside”,
you take note and recognize that this is the work of a genuine artist with a
remarkable voice determined to make meaningful and lasting art.” –Lone Star
