Hello Live Music Fans:
Six String Presents has a show April 9, 2016 at The Cary Theater that I think all fans of live music will enjoy. It’s a co-bill that joins some of the best talent touring nationally with some outstanding local talent that is getting a lot of buzz around here lately. And it’s at one of the most comfortable, beautiful newer venues in the area.

Beth Wood (www.bethwoodmusic.com) has played for the Six String for years. Now living in Oregon and originally from Texas, Beth tours full time nationally and has been recognized and has won numerous national awards such as:
Winner – Sisters Folk Festival Dave Carter Memorial Songwriting Contest
Winner – Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Contest
Winner – 2nd Place – Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriters Contest
Winner – Wildflower Festival Songwriting Contest
Finalist – Telluride Troubadour Contest
Beth’s stage presence, storytelling and giggle, as she performs barefoot on stage is contagious and always one of the audience’s favorites.
Mary Johnson Rockers & The Spark (www.maryjohnsonrockers.com) is from the triangle area. They include some of the area’s most accomplished musicians with Jim Kremidas, FJ Ventre (Jon Shain Trio, Tom Maxwell, the Swang Brothers) and Robert Cantrell (Hobex, Tim Smith Band) led by the vocal harmonies of Mary Rockers and Miriam Chicurel-Bayard. Their music is a favorite of Americana, indie rock, folk and country fans.
This is going to be a full night of music with lots of talent on stage. It’s got something for just about anyone who enjoys music. If you’re familiar with The Cary Theater, you already know it really is a hidden gem in the Triangle with outstanding sound and lights run by real pros. The seats are comfortable and there’s not a bad one in the house. Brew, a coffee bar that sells beer, wine and snacks recently opened in the lobby and folks can bring their drinks into the theater to enjoy.
